Sneak Of The Week
The Sneak Of The Week is the Pearl Nike Air Foamposite Pro. Following many successful re-releases of the Nike Air Foamposite One in retro and new colorways, one popular Foamposite model has continued to elude serious collectors for years. The Pearl Nike Air Foamposite Pro was introduced to many on the big screen by Ray Allen who played Jesus Shuttlesworth in the 1998 Spike Lee basketball classic ‘He Got Game’ along side Denzel Washington. While the Foamposite One originally sported Penny Hardaway’s signature logo, the Foamposite Pro was it’s fraternal twin with Penny’s name sake being replaced with larger Nike symbolism. While the Pearl Nike Air Foamposite Pro finally retro’ed in extremely limited numbers only at select House Of Hoops last year, on Friday, September 3rd they will see a tad larger yet still limited release at select Nike accounts such as Adikt in Dallas and Nice Kicks in Austin. Sneak Of The Week
The Sneak Of The Week is the Air Jordan Infrared VI Pack. In the early 90′s Nike was all about making colorways with ‘pop’. The Air Jordan VI was no exception. For the first time Air Jordan broke away from their staple colors of white, black, and red, and used a new ‘infrared’ color (also on the popular OG Air Max 90). While many today would call this color ‘pink’ it was actually an attempt at a fluorescent or neon red. The Air Jordan Infrared VI was originally released in 1991, the same season Micheal Jordan won his first Championship. After nearly two decades of never being retro’ed, the ‘Infrareds’ became somewhat of a ‘Holy Grail’ sought after by fans the World over. On Saturday June 19th the wait is over as both the White and the Black ‘Infrared’ VI will release in limited quantities as a pack at select Jordan Brand accounts.
